i don't need anyone.. but YOU
Trails of Life by Sami Yusof
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QItQvWYywfU
My life is not the same
When I’m too concerned by what they say
Why should I? When I have you
To doubt you would be the worst mistake
Deep inside I know
That amidst all the darkness
And everything, which makes no sense
I know that you exist
You are the light
That guides me through my darkest nights
That shows me right from wrong in life
In a world that often lies
Cause I don’t need anyone
Nor anything in life
But You
No I don’t need anyone
To show me my way
No I don’t need anyone
But You
Trials of life upon me
Are more precious than diamonds and gold
Tested with fire I may be
But I know I’ll come out stronger in this world
Deep inside I know
That amidst all the darkness
And everything, which makes no sense
I know that you exist
You are the light
That guides me through my darkest nights
That shows me right from wrong in life
In a world that often lies
Cause I don’t need anyone
Nor anything in life
But You
No I don’t need anyone
To show me my way
No I don’t need anyone
But You
I only want the things
You know is best for me
I’d gladly sacrifice
If that’s what you decree
I would break and
Mourn in eternity
Perish into the sea
If that’s what you want for me

Ya Allah selamatkan saudara saudara muslim kami..

once connected to internet sy bukak blog n fb. kat fb sy trus msk acc adik ipar sy (adik bongsu hubby), nak tau berita terkini dia di tanah arab. alhamdulillah after bbrp hari risau n x henti mendoakan keselamatan adik (dan 2 org sepupu hubby) di sana, ptg kelmarin adik dah slmt tiba di jeddah. di asrama tabung haji. during evacuation ni nasib baik adik masih dpt dihubungi di hp dia even setiap sms di caj rm2. hubby topupkan hp dia dr sini n adik akan hantar berita terkini n report keadaan dia kat sana. dr awal evacuation plan lagi kakak ipar sy yg slalu update berita n contact adik kat sana. abg dia (adik lelaki hubby sorg lagi) pun smpi arrange demonstrasi secara aman depan wisma putra utk mendesak kerajan percepatkan proses bwk pulang semua pelajar2 (dan rakyat kita) msia yg ada di sana. adik ipar lelaki sy yg sorg ni mmg tgh aktif berpolitik, smpi kenduri kawin dia 3 bulan lagi pun tema color turqoise n putih, n baju2 fmly ni kene la ikut tema :).. semua sgt risau bila tau keadaan sebenar di sana (yg kebanyakannya x di gembar gemburkan kat media kita sbb xmau fmly panic). namun, syukur syukur alhamdulillah semuanya selamat n adik tgh tggu giliran di jeddah utk penerbangan balik ke msia. namun sy tau, smgt perjuangan n survival serta hati adik sy sgt kuat. dah masuk tahun ke-4 dia berada di mesir. dia xmau naik private flight yang nak di arrange oleh kakak ipar utk dia balik lebih awl terus dr jeddah tanpa tggu giliran lebih lama dlm keadaan beramai2 di sana. dia tetap nak tggu penerbangan balik ke msia bersama-sama kwn2 mengikut giliran yg dah ditetapkan dan flight yg diatur oleh pihak kerajaan (mmg jiwa student jpa betul ni). x pasti lagi hari apa namun insyaAllah dlm masa terdekat. smlm adik sms hubby, dia kata alhamdulillah selesa kat asrama tabung haji kat sana (kami tau maksud selesa tu dibandinkan setelah bbrp hari dlm keadaan tak tentu soal nasib n bersesak di malaysia hall dlm evacuation process ni). adik kata petugas tbg haji baik2 n beri layanan yg sebaiknya utk semua pelajar. cuma hati dia x ketentuan pk kan university, lecturer2 n mesir. msh x lalu makan n badan sgt2 penat.
sy tau hampir separuh hati dia masih tgl kat sana. sy khatamkan baca blog dia yg lama dah sy x follow. adik sy mmg gemar menulis. semua pengalaman dia di mesir sejak bermula proses demonstrasi dia ceritakan dlm blog dia. sgt sgt sayu n hiba hati sy baca n esp bila sy hayati video gambar2 sebenar di sana.
iskk what a law of atrraction ni!!, tgh2 sy menaip bunyi mcm fighter jet yg sgt2 kuat lalu kat atas rumah sy ni. bergegar sekejap jantung sy. Sy x sekuat jiwa rakyat mesir nak lalu semua ni. isk isk, emo sungguh. terus call hp hubby, (td pas mandi dia kuar jap p kedai) tanya knp byk bunyi jet n kuat plak tu. gelak hubby dgt suara cuak sy, x jauh dr kwsn SVC ni kat butterworth ni mmg ada pengkalan TUDM, hubby kata mungkin diorang tgh wat routine practise agaknya. sesiapa yg baca cerita pergolakan mesir (dr kaca mata adik sy) dan sharing exp adik sy kat sana boleh la baca kat sini. mungkin kita dpt sedikit sebanyak perkongsian keadaan saudara seislam kita kat sana. sy yakin byk iktibar dan hikmahnya semua yg berlaku ni buat rakyat mesir dan kita semua even kita hanya pandang dr luar.. bukan ke ujian dariNya untuk jadikan kita lebih kuat, untuk tingkatkan darjat keimanan hamba-hambaNya, bagi mereka yang sabar dan mencari hikmah atas segalanya. ok sy dah kene naik nak msk lunch pulak. till my next post :)

small mini library..
my small mini library

Secret One : A Pillar of Faith..
That day I was admiring a beautiful house near my sister's place. The design of the house was breathtaking, Subhan Allah.. Although I don't have any inkling whatsoever about architectural design, I do love houses, buildings and structures that reflect great creativity and genius. I could not begin to imagine the sheer hard work the designers and architecs must have put into the design.Thomas Disch once said,
Creativity is the ability to see relationships where none exists.
And I totally agree with Mr.Thomas here. This house I am appreciating has a perfect combination of classic, ancient and gothic with a touch of modernity in it, subhan Allah.
I chucled at the thought of mmy very best effort in designing a house: a square box with a roof and chimney and a few squared windows and one door, with a sun coming out from behind it!
Got the picture?
But then I got curious. Despite its gorgeousness and majestic outlook, the house was empty. I mean, it lookedas if it had been left empty for years. The garden is full of weeds growing as tall as a 9 years old, cobwebs were everywhere, the main gate all rusty and most windows were broken too.
It was then my dad told me that the house was empty for a reason.
"What's the reason, Dad?" I askes him.
"Well, it seemed that when the house was being built, the owner refused to follow the advise that it should not be three-storeys high as the ground it was built on was kind of soft. And if he still wanted to do so, he would have to built a stronger foundation for the house and use the right kind of piling as pillars. But he refused to listen and built the house his way anyway. And now, the house is not safe to live in."
"Wow, what a shame and waste of money!" I couldn't believe my ears, shaking my head in disbelief.
The owner must have lost hundreds of thousands of his hard earned money. Poor him.
As I reflected on that incident later in the day, it suddenly dawned upon me the words of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who once said,
"Islam is built on five (pillars): the testimony that there is no god except Allah and the Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; establishing prayer; paying zakah; fasting Ramadhan; and Hajj to the House (the Ka'abah)." (Al-Bukhari)
SubhanAllah!
Dont I see that my beautiful religion too, has pillars and foundations of its own which I should adhere and follow? The pillars that have been identified by my Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) about 1431 years ago, and they still hold true until today.
And he (peace be upon him) has left us these pillars for one reason- the very soil also known as life that we all stand (live) on is, yes, you got it-soft!
Softas in unstable, risky, dangerous, uneven, unbalanced, uncertain, unsafe ans could be hazardous to our lives.
And if we failed to build the right kind of pillars as the foundation to our home (a.k.a. life) here on this earth, we might just end up like that wasted house- all beautiful but of no use to anyone and dangerous live in too!
Yikes! Na'udhbillaahi min dhalik!
Surely, that is not something that we want to become, you agree?
I, for one, truly do not want to be like that wasted house. Nope, I really don't. Really. Really. Really.
In fact, I want to bulit a 'house'that I could live in safely, happily and peacefully; where others could come visit without worrying if the roof is going to fall on them or the floor is going to suck them in. I want to build a place where people could call it a happy home and where others and I can find solace in, inshaAllah.
And as we all know, in just a few days, we shall be given a chance to strengthen the current foundation to our house using one if the mentioned pillars- the pillar of fasting in the great month of Ramadhan!..
this is just a half of the first chapter; secret one; A Pillar of Faith... sweet & touching kan?, kalo baca next2 secret lagi byk story mory yg menyentuh hati. masa sy baca tu terasa la, isk selama 28 thn (oppss dah nak masuk 3 series dah sy ni, tua ke? xla senior skit jer dr org 20an.. dr yg mmg dah 30an tu muda skit laa hehehe) sy berpuasa sejauh mana sy menghayati pengertian ramadhan dan mengisi ramadhan sebaiknya. seronok bila sy teruskan membaca secret2 seterusnya. kdg2 bila x brp dpt feel sy ulang berkali kali satu2 secret tu. lagi satu, biasanyanya kita ni (sy lah tu) kdg mls nak baca buku2 yg agak berat atau serious ttg fikah atau ilmu agama yg mmg sepatutnya kita timba n amalkan ni. tapi bila topik yg sama dibincangkan dgn garapan yg lebih dekat di hati dan lebih santai lagi mudah untuk kita menghayati, memahami & lebih seronok nak terus belajar. tapi sy tau semua ni x boleh la dijadikan alasan untuk sy tidak mempelajari byk lagi ilmu2 yg sbnrnya jauh lagi wajib dr ilmu dunia kan. ok ok, ni kelemahan sy yg sy perlu baiki. apa pun sy sgt2 recommend a series of 'life is an open secret' by sist zabrina a.bakar ni... pasni sy akan share jugak serba sikit ttg 2nd series yg sy ada iaitu 'hidup bukan rahsia; fikirkanlah..' (malay version)..
